One Room Challenge Week Two

Our “cloffice” (closet-office) portion of our living room is almost complete! We are just adding a few final touches before the final reveal tomorrow. Stay tuned for an Instagram post and IGTV video with all of the details. Until then, I have some progress pictures for you.

We completed our barn door over the weekend. It still needs to be mounted and the handle needs to be installed, but overall, I am very happy with how it turned out. My husband built it entirely from tongue and groove, 1 x 4s, and 1 x 6s. The only thing I can take credit for is staining it, ha. I wanted a barn door with a little more modern touch, and he definitely delivered.

Another fun update is that our sofa arrived yesterday. We had the hardest time deciding on one we loved. I searched Facebook Marketplace for weeks, scoured the internet, and kept up with all of the best sales, but finding what we wanted in our price range was difficult. When we stumbled upon this Better Homes & Gardens sofa from Walmart, we were sold. For only $329 it’s a steal. I can’t wait to see how it will look in the completed living room!

Last but definitely not least is my cloffice. We still need to install the barn door above it, caulk around the edges, and install a puck light, but I am so proud of this little project. I know this space will be very well-loved because I have been in need of at-home office space for some time now.
