End of Summer Essentials
Hello, everyone!
I’ve been a little behind the curve this week (and very late typing this post), but all is not forgotten! Between my husband and I’s full-time work schedule, my summer semester finals, blogging, and preparing for our upcoming trip to Uganda, things have been C-R-A-Z-Y. I sense that there will not be any normalcy until we return from Uganda; which I am totally okay with, because I can’t wait to leave!
A couple of weeks ago I asked for blog post suggestions from you all, and some of you came back with some really great ideas. One idea that I particularly liked was to do a blog post about my favorite end-of-summer essentials. I took that to mean sharing with you all the absolute necessities I could not have survived summer without. I did an Instagram post (see pictured) which showed my items of choice, but here is a more detailed list of the items pictured:
Sparkling Water
Sparkling water is something I swear by. I don’t think I could live without it! The one pictured is actually a sparkling coconut water (watermelon flavored) from Aldi, but any sparkling water makes me happy! My favorite brand is Sparking Ice, which is packed with antioxidants and vitamins. It’s especially great after a workout!
Travel-Size Body Mist
This particular body mist is from Bath and Body Works’ “Sea-Tox” Mermaid collection. Sadly, I am not able to find this travel-size mist online anymore (perhaps some of the stores still carry what is left), because it has been discontinued to make way for fall products. However, there is a “Sea-Tox Sea Mineral All Over Mist” which I will link here. It smells almost exactly the same, just in a larger bottle!
Pink Sandals
These sandals are from Old Navy, but they are actually a couple of years old! I highly recommend all sandals, flip flops, and casual shoes from Old Navy because they hold up very well. Cute AND comfy!
Striped Tote
Believe it or not, this tote is also from Bath and Body Works and is ALSO a couple of years old. I’m a big fan of making things last and repurposing vs. tossing out. This tote came full of Bath and Body Works product at their semi-annual sale a couple of years ago. The semi-annual sale happens right after Christmas and mid-summer, and you can catch some serious deals there! They bring back the totes from time to time, so watch their ads!
Instax Mini 8
The final product on my summer essential list is my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8. This camera has been my go-to simple shot camera for years. Fujifilm now has the Instax Mini 9, which I’ve heard is also ah-mazing. I love taking the shots and waiting for them to develop. There is something so retro about shaking it “like a Polaroid picture.” Ha!
There you have it! This list of items is perfect for a night on the town, a shopping trip with the girls, or even a day on the lake. I kept my tote full of essentials very closeby this summer!
I hope you enjoyed hearing a little about my favorite products. What were some of your favorites this summer? Comment below-I would love to hear from you!
xoxo
