#1 Best Place To Vacation in The Smoky Mountains

If you have ever been to the Smoky Mountains, you know there are multiple areas of the mountains in which you can stay-Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Townsend, etc. The list goes on and on. I have always been a relentless fan and a walking billboard for Gatlinburg because I love the small-town feel and the mountains that surround it. Typically, I would not want to stay anywhere else. Our last trip to the mountains, however, just might have changed that for me.

Last week we visited the Smoky Mountains and stayed at the Margaritaville Island Hotel in Pigeon Forge. From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle, we felt at home. The check-in hosts were very helpful. The check-in process was 10 minutes at most, and we received a full list of restaurants and shops to visit during our stay. After we checked in, our car was valeted and the valet assistants provided a bellhop service to carry our things up to our room.

From there, it was endless possibilities. We could relax in front of our fireplace, watch the fountain show from our balcony, walk around the shops, grab some dinner, or even go for a drive and explore the beautiful mountains themselves. We chose to spend the first evening eating dinner at Margaritaville and then relax in our room. The second day was rainy, so I was treated to a super relaxing pedicure at the St. Somewhere Spa (located in the Margaritaville Island Hotel).

We did eventually make it over to Gatlinburg by the third day and were able to visit the aquarium and walk around downtown. Remi’s favorite part was the shark tunnel in the aquarium! We headed back to our hotel from there. Then, after dinner, we rode The Great Smoky Mountain Island Wheel. This was Kenny and I’s favorite part (even though I was terrified, haha).

The Wheel is 20 stories tall and the seats are actually enclosed glass gondolas.

We were so sad to leave, but we had such a wonderful time. This was our first vacation with Remi, and Kenny and I’s first vacation in almost three years! We can’t wait to travel more and enjoy more of the world with our Remi girl.

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any questions or would like to know more about our stay. You can find more info about the Margaritaville Island Hotel or even book your own stay HERE.

Cheers!
